Our Pledge
“It is our mission to be responsible hosts for our guests, and to demonstrate the same care to our ipukarea (land) and our tangata (our people). We support our local growers, sponsor our community organisations, and are always conscious caretakers, when it comes to guarding our little paradise. The Cook Islands is a beautiful and vibrant country with a rich culture, lifestyle, and environment to be protected. We would love you to be involved.”

The Kia Orana Values
Kia Orana
A heartfelt wish for a long and fulfilling life. It’s a blessing, an expression of goodwill. Literally translated as “may you live long.”
Meitaki
Means everything is good, well, OK and thank you all in one. It is how we share how happy we feel.
Mana Tiaki
Refers to our responsibility as guardians of our islands and environment. The more we become aware of the environment, the more we will learn to use it sustainably and therefore pass it on in good condition to future generations of Cook Islanders.
Join us in celebrating these values and enjoy a holiday that gives a little more!
Want to leave an impact on our community? You can get involved the following ways:

Sponsor a clean for a Mama, Papa or Friend
Little Islands Home Rarotonga is committed to supporting our elderly and accessible community. For every $30 donated, we can offer an hour cleaning service to our Mama’s, Papa’s and friends. Donate $60 and we can do two hours. This initiative works to support our community who may be living on their own, without family and friends nearby. This initiative allows us to live out our values of inclusion, care, and consciousness.
Partnered with the Are Pa Metua, Creative Centre, Autism Cook Islands, Te Vaerua Rehabilitation Centre, the Cook Islands Deaf Society, the National Disability Council and the National Women’s Council.

Support the Dogs of Rarotonga
You can support the dogs of Rarotonga by either:
- Sponsoring a Dog to be desexed
- Sponsoring food toward the shelter
- Support the SPCA team and walk their dogs for a morning or afternoon
Partnered with the SPCA, we are supporting our community in reducing the number of dogs without homes. We are a small island with a small population and a limit of two dogs per household. Let’s work together to make sure that we do not have puppies without a home on our island!
